International Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to give back and make a difference. Many students want to experience short term volunteering in the holidays, or spend some time helping others after graduation.
However, this often comes at a price. Organisations may ask you to pay an admin fee, or fundraise a certain amount, not to mention the costs of getting to the location all for the promise that you'll be making a difference to the people/place/flora and fauna.
The article "How to ethically volunteer anywhere in the world" by Shannon O'Donnell lists 5 steps on finding volunteer projects which may suit you.
