Involvement groups for specific projects

The CBMA brings together people with long term health conditions to share their lived experiences with researchers. This helps us to ensure our research is informed by, and meets the needs of, people with the conditions we are researching.

For example, Jo Welsman has worked with people with experience of epilepsy, schizophrenia and dementia to help researchers develop their research around diagnostics. She has also worked to involve young people with cystic fibrosis in shaping research into individualised exercise programmes and bring together researchers in physics, maths, and medicine and people with a diagnosis of dementia and their supporters and carers to discuss CBMA funded projects.
