Requiem Mass: 650th Anniversary of Bishop Grandisson's Death

Sung by: the Choir of Christ Church, Cranbrook, Michigan and the University of Exeter Chapel Choir

Setting: Requiem Mass – Gabriel Fauré

This service launches a year of events marking the life and architectural, musical, educational and cultural legacies of Exeter's longest serving Bishop, John de Grandisson, who was Bishop of Exeter from 1327-1369. The Pall (a large fabric drape) which covered Grandisson's coffin at his funeral will be on display in the Cathedral and will feature in this service.

Rehearsal for 'Come and Sing' Choral Evensong

Mary Harris Memorial Chapel, Streatham Campus, Exeter

The rehearsal for this evening's service of Evensong, which is an opportunity to 'Come and Sing' with the University of Exeter Chapel Choir. All students are welcome to join in – you don't need to be religious and you don't need to be a first year – if you're a student who's been curious about what it might be like to sing with the choir, come and find out! Our service of Evensong will follow the rehearsal at 5pm.

All are welcome at this beautiful service of sung evening prayer, and to tea and cake which will be served after the service downstairs in the Old Library, just opposite the Chapel.

This service is a 'Come and Sing' event, which means it provides students with the opportunity to find out what it's like to sing with the Chapel Choir during a service. If you are a student who would like to join the choir, please attend the rehearsal prior to this service at 3.30pm; for everyone else, the service will begin at 5pm.

If you are from outside the University you are always very welcome to attend our services.
