Revd Sungil Han

Methodist Chaplain (Korean Church Minister)

Han was born in South Korea. After finishing his studies (Master of Theology, 2003-2006) he came to the UK in 2007.

His first ministry was in Birmingham, in a Korean church which was small to start with but gradually became international. At that time (2008-9) he also undertook a second MA in Theological Studies.

He was ordained in 2010 and was then invited by the Mint Methodist Church in Exeter to become minister of the Korean Fellowship. He usually leads Korean services on Sundays, and provides pastoral care on weekdays.

One of doctrines of the Methodist Church which he most likes is, "All Can Be Saved", and he wants everyone to know this message – that everyone is called to be loved and saved by God.

He lives with his wife and three children in Exeter and plays the guitar in his spare time.

He is very happy to listen to students and staff, whether for a chat, for them to ask questions or simply to be a listening ear, on matters great or small, whether connected to faith or not.
