Chaplaincy is here for staff as well as students.

Chaplaincy for Staff

We work together to serve the whole University staff, academics and professional services staff, and we are all available to talk with confidentially and independently. You can find the Chaplains at the new Chaplaincy Hub on the ground floor of the Old Library.

What we offer

We believe that all members of staff at Exeter University deserve time and care. We are here to provide space for you to be able to share pressure points, to help facilitate wellbeing, to be alongside you in any challenging circumstance that you find yourself in, and to support you in whatever we can.

Space, for you

The Chaplaincy Hub is a first point of contact for all staff and students. However, if you would prefer to make contact with us confidentially, please use the contact information available here. We also offer you space to rest and relax in the Quiet Room on the first floor of the Old Library. A kitchen nearby has tea and coffee that you can help yourself to.

The Mary Harris Chapel on the Streatham Campus and the St. Luke's Chapel on the St. Luke's Campus also provide quiet spaces to simply be. Both are beautiful, peaceful buildings and you are welcome to come and sit for as long as you like, and to light a candle. They are open to everyone.

Christian colleagues might want to contact the Christian Staff Network - do speak with Rev'd Chantal Mason if you are interested in joining the network, which meets weekly, and for termly lunches at Reed Hall.

Muslim colleagues might wish to make use of the prayer rooms in the Old Library on Streatham Campus, and in the Holnicote Building on St. Luke's Campus.
