Taught Faculty Deans' office

The Faculty Deans' office manages all matters relating to the Deans of the Faculties of Taught Programmes and Postgraduate Research.

The Academic Dean for Students/ Dean of the Faculty of Taught Programmes is Professor Rob Freathy.

The Associate Academic Dean for Students is Professor Pete Vukusic.

The Dean of the Faculty of Taught programmes has responsibility for leading and representing the business of the Taught Faculty. The Dean and Associate Dean have close working relations with the Faculty Office with whom they collaborate in formulating strategies and developing programmes and procedures that support the principal teaching activities of the University. Direct input to student matters is a further feature of their work, particularly in the context of student progression and academic appeals. They also have a major role to play in monitoring academic standards, through the review of the reports of external examiners and consequent College action. The Dean and Associate Dean are members of many of the significant committees of the University.

The Dean of Postgraduate Research and the Doctoral College is Professor Andrew McRae.
