This website gives helpful information regarding  political situations, security threats, time zones, driving restrictions, medical advice and social customs. To access the information, and login, please complete the following steps:

  1. To register as a user on the AIG mylifeline page, please scroll to the bottom of the page and input the requested details – the policy number is 0010628173
  2. Once you have registered and logged in – follow the menu at the top of the screen
  3. To sign up for the travel alerts – click on alerts
  4. Input the country you are visiting from the drop-down menu
  5. Input your dates of travel
  6. Choose the type or types of alert you require
  7. Click subscribe
Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)  Before departure please visit this site for current travel advice for your destination country. If the FCDO have changed the advice regarding travelling to/around your destination, please contact Insurance, Audit & Risk.
Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). Apply on the NHS Business Services Authority website. This is essential if travelling to European Economic Area countries or Switzerland. This card entitles you to some types of emergency medical treatment under a reciprocal agreement with the UK. Medical costs incurred because you did not apply for the card may not be covered by a travel insurance policy.
