25.11.2010 Seminar on Political Sociology

The Department of Politics, University of Exeter, will be holding a seminar led by Dr Giacomo Chiozza of Vanderbilt University, USA.  This seminar is sponsored by the ELECDEM project.  Dr Chiozza's seminar is entitled How to Win Hearts and Minds? The Political Sociology of the Support for Suicide Bombing.

The Department of Politics, University of Exeter, will be holding a seminar, led by Prof James Adams of University California, Davis, USA.  This seminar is sponsored by the ELECDEM project.  Prof Adams' seminar is entitled The Electoral Consequences of Parties’ Policy Shifts: Who Reacts, When, and How?

28.09.2010 ELECDEM Content Analysis workshop - speakers confirmed

The ELECDEM workshop in Advanced Techniques for Political Communications Research: Content Analysis will be held at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in March 2011.  This is the third of our project workshops and it will be held at ASCoR from 20 - 24 March.

05.08.2010 'Introduction to the CSES' presentation slides

'Introduction to the CSES' presentation slides from the recent Short course in Challenges and Opportunities in Cross-national Electoral Research are now available on our website.  The short course was held as part of the Essex Summer School in Social Science Data Analysis.

12.07.2010 Experimental Methods workshop slides now online

Powerpoint slides presented by Professor Rebecca Morton of New York University, USA, are now available online.  The ELECDEM Experimental Methods workshop was held in Brussels on 28 June - 2 July 2010.

10.05.2010 Electoral Survey Design workshop slides now online

Powerpoint slides presented by Arthur Lupia, Willem Saris, Mark Franklin, Lynn Vavreck, Radoslav Majerik and Elisabeth Gidengil are now available online.  The ELECDEM Electoral Survey Design workshop was held at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest on 30 April - 4 May 2010.
