What we offer

Important Service Update

The following information, is an update on our current funding situation.

As it stands, the AccEPT Clinic is uncertain about its funding position, but expects to have an update after the end of March 2023. As such, unfortunately we are not able to schedule any future MBCT groups at this time which in turn means we are not currently accepting referrals for MBCT-D or MBCT-L.

As soon as we know more we will update our page with more information.  We do apologise for the uncertainty that this may bring.

We offer two types of treatment:

  1. We currently offer an established treatment for recurrent depression (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy).
  2. We also offer treatments for people with depression and bipolar disorder that are being developed as part of our Centre’s clinical research programme.

For more details on these see Current Treatments.

Our Therapists

Therapy within the clinic is offered by a number of trained psychological therapy practitioners who are from a variety of professional backgrounds. Our practitioners all have specialist skills in the development, training and delivery of the relevant treatments.

You can find out which treatments the National Institute for Clinical Excellence currently recommends for depression by visiting their website. There are separate guidelines for depression, depression that co-occurs with chronic physical health problems, bipolar disorder and post-partum depression.

At the AccEPT Service we are committed to meeting our responsibilities to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults.
