Overview
My research explores the relationship between local economic development and nature recovery, for Cornwall and other peripheral areas in the UK. This regional context seeks a deeper understanding of the rationale behind historic spatially-blind policy making and how this has affected development trajectories. I am also exploring potential policy solutions that could promote sustainable and resilient local economies through the enhanced stewardship of our natural resources.
My studentship is funded by Cornwall Council and I work closely with the Britain's Leading Edge project.
