I'm a Research Fellow in the group of Prof. Xiaohong LiProf. Tapas K Mallick, and Dr. Asif A Tahir. I received my MSc degree in Physical Chemistry from Hazara University, Mansehra in 2010, MPhil in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Sciences, University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2014, and PhD in Renewable Energy from College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences (CEMPS), University of Exeter, UK in 2018. Currently, my research involves design and fabrication of a novel water electrolyser for hydrogen production. I am involved in the European Interreg 2 Seas project entitled "Electrons to high value Chemicals Products" which is a R&D collaboration between eight partners across Europe. The project aims to develop electrocatalysts employing non-precious metals or metal oxides for anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolyser for hydrogen production in high efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Moreover, the research work will be focused on ways (i) to prepare and characterise new catalysts for both oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction; (ii) to optimise composition of the selected catalysts, to fabricate nanostructured catalysts; (iii) to investigate the catalyst deposition method on the membrane; (iv) to design and construct an AEM water electrolyser cell with a desired performance.
