Furniture Returns Project

Project overview

Over the summer vacation months a large scale furniture moving project is taking place on our Streatham and St Luke’s campuses. Some 10,000 items that were removed in summer 2020 to help with social distancing will be delivered back to the buildings and rooms they came from.

There’ll be a marquee on car park B to house furniture arrival and dispatch. Car park B will be unavailable for parking from 26 May to 24 September.

Furniture will be returned to comply with current guidance on indoor spaces and there may be further modifications as we start the new academic year. Around 50 artic lorries loads of chairs, tables, and sofas from teaching rooms, communal areas, study spaces, Event Exeter spaces and some offices will be returned.

The project team will be coordinating the return of the furniture between 14 June and 24 September. Due to the volume of furniture to be returned the order of return to buildings and rooms will be determined by how they come out of storage. It is not possible to provide a delivery schedule by building / room in advance. All furniture will be cleaned on return.

There will be some disruption which will be kept to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
