Budget

The University has committed to investing £3 million in the new, purpose built facility.

New Nursery

Work has completed to create a new 104 children place nursery on the site of the redundant tennis courts to the front south elevation of Hope Hall on the Streatham Campus. The building size is approximately 700m2 and will accommodate approximately 70 toddlers, 34 babies and 30 staff.

The new two-storey building comprises a steel framed structure on piled foundations with concrete floors and a lean-to timber roof structure. The new facility also includes a large outdoor area in which the children can play, explore and learn.

A weekly look ahead is displayed in the Green Room at Hope Hall where colleagues can see which works are due to take place each week and any possible impact.

The project team is working to ensure that any disruption is minimised. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience during this period.

All works are being undertaken by a third party contractor and their nominated sub-contractors, who are working within agreed restrictions to minimise any disruption to colleagues, students or visitors.

If you have any immediate questions about the project, please email Alison Ramsden.
