The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2025 (Penryn)

Join us in January for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. We will be recording bird species and numbers and sending these to the RSPB for inclusion in their annual survey. Students, staff, and the local community are all welcome! Please wear weatherproof clothing and feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Binoculars would also be handy, but you can take part without, and staff will endeavour to bring a couple with them.

Meet at 10.30 am outside the main entrance to Tremough House (What3Words location here) for an hour of birdwatching from 11am – midday. We will be focusing our survey on our Lime Tree Avenue, prime habitat for lots of birds. If the weather forecast is awful and we are forced to cancel we will let attendees know by email by 7pm on Thursday 23rd – so, please ‘register’ for a free ticket via Eventbrite (link coming - please check back!).   If you are a keen birdwatcher/ornithologist and would be happy to help our Teams with identifying birds to help complete the record sheet (supplied) at one of the locations, please get in touch and let us know!
