University of Exeter alumnus and now Honorary Visiting Professor, Peter Crawford, recalls highlights from his career with the world-renowned Natural History Unit of the BBC for which he produced and directed many films and television programmes that celebrate the relationship of people with the natural world.

In this special public lecture, illustrated by clips from his award-winning films, Peter Crawford gives an insight into the craft and ethics of his profession  and asks how far Natural History television and film should emulate other popular styles of television in order to captivate its audience.

Peter Crawford (Zoology 1964) has made many prestigious and award-winning documentaries and television series for the world-renowned BBC Natural History Unit.  Peter Crawford is also a successful writer and photographer with several books and many published photographs and articles to his credit.

This is a free event but booking is required.  The lecture will be from 6-7pm, followed by a book signing and drinks reception from 7-8pm.
