Senior Scholars Claim Form

The deadline for completing this form is Wednesday 11th September 2019.

Pre-Freshers' Week Transition Support:

You should have received an email inviting you to an exclusive event on Monday 9th – Tuesday 10th September to help you settle into life as a University of Exeter student. Please contact us if you have not received this invitation.

Exeter Scholars Awards:

We will automatically contact you in advance of Freshers' Week to confirm if you have qualified for any of the Exeter Scholars scholarships or bursaries. You do not need to do anything unless you believe you should have been contacted and haven't heard anything.

Applying to Become a Student Ambassador:

Applications will open shortly and will be available on the Student Ambassador website: www.exeter.ac.uk/ambassadors/. We will automatically pick up applications from any Senior Scholars, and take this into account in the selection process.

Access to Internships:

Being a Senior Scholar means you now qualify for the Access to Internships programme run at the University. To find out more, visit: www.exeter.ac.uk/careers/internships/access/.

One-to-One Careers & Employability Support:

Senior Scholars can contact a Careers Consultant directly via email to arrange a one-to-one careers appointment to discuss their career ideas and plans, and to seek advice regarding the recruitment process. The 30-minute appointments can take place face-to-face or via skype or telephone, to suit the needs of the student / graduate. The one-to-one service is available for students for up to three years after graduation.

To arrange an appointment with a Careers Consultant, please email Kate Foster at k.l.foster@exeter.ac.uk (Exeter) or Rachel Coombes at r.coombes@exeter.ac.uk (Penryn).

'Welcome to the Careers Zone' Networking Event (Exeter Only):

We will be hosting an exclusive 'Welcome to the Careers Zone' networking event hosted by Kate Foster, Employability and Careers Consultant. Date and venue to be confirmed. This will give you the opportunity to find out how the Career Zone can support your employability and career decisions while you are here at the University. You will also receive information on some of the specific initiatives that may be of interest to you, including funded work experience, international opportunities, and our part-time job service. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and chat to each other over a cuppa!
