Records Management Services

The Records Management Service provides advice and support to all areas of the University in their record keeping.  In particular the service will:

 

  • Advise on the retention and destruction of records
  • Support the identification vital records
  • Advise on the storage of paper and electronic records
  • Work with the Archive Curator to facilitate the transfer of records for permanent preservation
  • Provide Records Management advice relating to the introduction of new systems
  • Manage the Modern Records Centre
  • Advise on compliance with the Data Protection Act
  • Manage the University’s response Freedom of Information requests
  • Provide relevant training
