Tuition Fees and Payment Methods

To gain a UK student visa, applicants must show that they have enough funds for both academic costs and living expenses. Our offer letters state the annual tuition fee and a monthly allowance for living expenses.

Postgraduate students

Tuition fees for postgraduate programmes are quoted in the online and print Postgraduate prospectus. This information can also be found at:

The University of Exeter requires most full-time Postgraduate taught applicants to pay a tuition-fee deposit. If you receive an offer of a place on a postgraduate taught full-time programme (e.g. e.g. MSc or MA or MBA) you are required to pay a tuition fee deposit and your place at the University will not be confirmed until this had been received. An unconditional offer will only be issued when the deposit and, if applicable, any academic and other non-academic conditions of our offer have been satisfied.

The tuition-fee deposit will be set against your tuition fee invoice in Term 1 following registration. For most international students the deposit is £1,500 (check your offer letter for details). For further details, including how to pay the deposit please visit our Once you have an offer page.

How to pay
