Module description
The ability to carry out initial investigation into a specific business area is a key academic and business skill that will support you for your further studies. This module will provide you with the opportunity to carry out a small scale business focussed project. You will work in small groups to carry out some research and analysis and share your project findings with others. You will be supported by our teacher/project supervisor throughout the process of preparing your project.
The knowledge and skills developed in this module will provide a very good foundation for undergraduate studies.
Module aims - intentions of the module
The aim of this module is to provide students with the opportunity to prepare a small scale business project linked to their specific subject and business interests working in a small project team.
You will be taught how to carry out independent study and will identify and agree a relevant and appropriate business related focus for your study. You will be supported by your teacher/project supervisor who will meet with your group on a regular basis to discuss your project ideas.
You will be assessed by a group visual summary of your project findings and a Project Portfolio,that you will share with your peers and others.

Re-assessment notes
The grade for the referred assessment, and therefore the Module grade, will be capped at 40%. Re-assessment, which is available only if the Business Project report has been completed, will not include a visual display of findings as this is impractical given end-of-programme time constraints.
Deferred assessment will not be capped.
Note: Attendance of all group members at the Exhibition is compulsory in order for individuals to pass the ‘Visual Display of findings’ element of this module.
