Module description
Provide students with the knowledge, skill set and confidence that need to be able to set up their own business venture. Over the duration of the course, students will come to understand the importance of entrepreneurship, learning how to plan and launch a business successfully.
This module has no pre-requisites.

- 1. To enable students to acquire a range of entrepreneurship and personal skills applicable to both small medium enterprise (SME) employment/entrepreneurial and self-employment

Re-assessment notes
Deferral – if you miss an assessment for reasons judged legitimate by the Mitigation Committee, the applicable assessment will normally be deferred. See ‘Details of reassessment’ for the form that assessment usually takes. When deferral occurs there is ordinarily no change to the overall weighting of that assessment.
Referral – if you have failed the module overall (i.e. a final overall module mark of less than 40%) you will be required to take a re-sit assessment and re-submission. Only your performance in this assessment will count towards your final module grade. A grade of 40% will be awarded if the assessment is passed.
