For Windows PC only, the latest version available is Dragon Professional v15 for Windows.

Unfortunately, Dragon Naturally Speaking is not available for Apple Mac.

Pricing and Support

Dragon Naturally Speaking is available for all staff but can only be installed on devices provided by the University and is not available for private home use or personal devices.

Pricing for Dragon Naturally Speaking is split into two separate parts.

Initial Licence : £509.99 +VAT - This is a one-off charge for Dragon to purchase the initial licence

Annual Maintenance : £82.49 +VAT - This is a complusory charge for Dragon and needs to be paid annually. This ensures that you are entitled to the latest version of the software.

Therefore, for the first year, it will be £592.48 +VAT.

Subsequently, it will be £82.49 +VAT per year after the initial period.

Headsets for Voice Recognition Software

Voice recognition software such as 'Dragon Naturally Speaking' or the inbuilt Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX services require a microphone to work. Headsets and microphones are not provided as standard with these packages.

You should ensure that you have a USB headset available for use with this software.
