We can work in partnership with you to support your students throughout their academic journey. This page outlines the services and support available to you and your students.
The Library can provide advice and guidance on learning resources to support the development of new programmes and modules. You are advised to contact your Academic Liaison Librarian as early as possible in the planning process to discuss purchasing required resources, licensing and accessibility.
The Library can advise on book, journal and subscription purchases to resource your modules. Further information about making requests for resources and subscriptions can be found in our Library resourcing guide.
To ensure that the Library purchases the resources your students will need, you'll need to send us your module reading lists for digitisation. Library staff will then check for the availability of resources, purchase any items not available and in some cases digitise chapters and articles within the CLA Higher Education copyright licence.
Once complete, you and your students will have an online list, accessible from ELE which links out to your module reading. Resource lists can be customised to display week by week readings, or key and recommended readings. To find out more please visit our resource list guide.
Support is available for your students in finding, using and evaluating information. We offer a range of online and in-person support for students across a variety of topics. You can find out more details in our Learning and teaching offer document.
View the specialist support available for students in your subject by selecting your subject in the box at the end of this page, you'll be directed to the online tutorials we currently offer in your discipline.
1:1 appointments are available for any student requiring tailored guidance or training from a Librarian on finding and using information sources for their assessments.
