Living Systems Institute

Supporting the LSI

The current era of human health is facing unprecedented challenges. The spread of infectious disease, high incidence of chronic ailments and steeply rising costs are pushing healthcare systems to the point of collapse across the globe. The world is fast-changing, and it its imperative that healthcare innovates to find better ways of solving health problems at scale.

The LSI is at the forefront of interdisciplinary life science research. Our leading researchers use cutting-edge techniques and specialist knowledge to work on new discoveries that tackle the world’s deadliest diseases, and some of the most pressing global health challenges of our day. The team seek to understand how disease operates; how to treat it and how to predict it in the future. We also teach and inspire the next generation of leading scientists to work together across disciplines to solve future problems. We harness the latest technology and techniques, think without borders on a global scale and empower our community to become agents of positive change.

Philanthropy plays an important role in driving forward innovation and speeding up outcomes and impact.
