The IBM Skills Truck

IBM Skills Truck comes to Uni on 18 March

An innovative new way for students to learn about new technologies is visiting the Streatham Campus on Friday 18 March.

The IBM Skills Truck provides an exciting venue to introduce students to the skills and technologies needed to meet the employment requirements of the future.

There will also be the opportunity to watch various demos as well as trying out the Gaming Zone, Academic Zone and Job Zone. IBM experts will be on hand to answer questions.

The truck will be on campus from 8.30am-5.30pm and Jeremy Budd, IBM Vice President will be running a session called ‘The Many Faces of IBM’ at 12.30pm in Amory. This will be followed by a sustainability skills workshop at 2.00pm entitled ‘Let’s Build a Smarter Planet’.

Exeter is one of only four locations in the UK to be selected for a visit from the truck which has been to 11 countries including Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Morocco, Belgium, Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland.
