A circular economy keeps waste to a minimum by keeping products and materials in use within the local economy rather than paying to have them taken away. This means a more circular economy would save your business money as well as help save the planet.

Waste is a critical issue for businesses in Cornwall, and in Falmouth in particular. For many decades’ businesses in Falmouth have suffered from high costs for mixed recycling and waste collections. Our initial findings are that many businesses are paying very different costs for the same collections. We would like to change this, by identifying the main material streams and working together as a business community to minimise waste in Falmouth. Circular Falmouth will help businesses find partners to share their waste and improve collection services.

The event provides a platform to discuss what waste streams exist and what materials can be re-used or shared for a more waste-free Falmouth This will help your business achieve higher productivity, reduce costs for mixed waste and improve your environmental credentials. All of this will be discussed during this event.
