Alice Taylor (KCL), ‘The Problem of Medieval Politics’

Dr Alice Taylor joins us from King's College London to discuss the concept of politics in the Middle Ages. Dr Taylor's research focuses on state formation and government, particularly in relation to medieval Scotland. Her monograph, 'The Shape of the State in Medieval Scotland, 1124-1290' (2016) was an important contribution to the field of medieval political history and won the Royal Historical Society’s Whitfield Prize.
