Virginia Bainbridge (Exeter), 'The Syon Abbey Prosopography Project: Lives of the Brothers c.1415-1622'

Dr Virginia Bainbridge, one of our honorary research fellows, joins us to talk about the Birgittine brothers of Syon Abbey. Although the origins of Syon Abbey lie outside the Southwest, its extant medieval books are currently housed in Exeter's Special Collections - which makes this talk of particular interest to Exeter scholars.
