Women In Climate Network film screening of 'Picture a Scientist'

Event details

The screening is available to all staff and students at the University of Exeter and Met Office

The Women in Climate (WiC) network, with support from the GSI, are hosting a film screening of Picture a Scientist, a film by Ian Cheney & Sharon Shattuck. The screening will take place on Thursday 15 October at 15:00 with a discussion to follow at 16:45.

Picture a Scientist brings diversity in science into sharp view at a critical time. The film paints a nuanced, emotional but unflinching portrait of the struggles women in science have faced, in recent decades up to today. The film challenges audiences of all backgrounds and genders to question their own implicit biases and move toward change.
