About this event:

In today's climate it is even more important to know how to maximise your chances of getting the job you really want and to enhance professional skills to further your career.

This webinar brings together a panel of Exeter alumni business professionals located in India who will share their career journey and tips for success including business start-ups and developing a family business. There will also be a focus on skills for the workplace: Professionalism and work ethics, plus we will be sharing some of the best interview techniques.

The session will kick off with an update on news from the University of Exeter, before moving onto presentations by our alumni panellists and you will have the opportunity to pose your questions to the speakers throughout the session.

About the speakers:

Sanjana Chopra, Owner at Digital Raven (BA Management with Marketing, 2014): Having studied Management with Marketing and completing a postgraduate diploma in Digital Marketing from the UK, Sanjana launched a Digital Marketing firm called Digital Raven based in Mumbai. Digital Raven’s clients include small to medium sized firms and self-funded start-ups and services include Social Media Management, Web Page Development, Newsletters, Content Writing & Editing, Market Research and Strategy.

Ruchir Agarwal, Director for Quality and Innovation at Riyo Parapack Private Limited (BA Business and Management, 2018): Ruchir is the Director for Quality and Innovation at Riyo Parapack Private Limited. He graduated from the University of Exeter, with a degree in Business and Management in 2018, then went on further and graduated from the University of Bath with a Masters in Innovation and Technology Management in 2019. He is currently working in his family business which operates in Corrugated Packaging. His roles includes oversight of the entire Quality Control Department and constantly on the lookout for new technologies and processes that can help the company innovate and differentiate in the industry. Ruchir is simultaneously working on an exciting E-commerce due to launch December 2020.

Professor Soumitra Mookherjee, Associate Professor at Indian School of Business and Finance (MBA, 2002): Professor Mookherjee served in the corporate sector for 15 years and has been associated with reputed Indian organisations such as Shaw Wallace Shipping, Tata Steel and ITC Financial Services. For the last thirteen years Soumitra has been in the academic field and has delivered lectures in different streams in renowned educational institutes both in India and internationally. He has taken up a leadership position in an education venture for the last three years. He is a passionate teacher and has over thirteen years of teaching experience at both graduate and post graduate level. His areas of interest include Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Business Management, and International Business. He has also been actively involved in pre-placement training, soft skills enhancement of students, mentoring of students and as a faculty guide for summer internship and dissertation projects taken up by students. As a consultant he has advised corporates including Microsoft, Rehabilitation Council of India, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, and NGOs.
