British Council Humanities webinar

Why study a Humanities degree, and where can it take you? Join this webinar to find out all about the different Humanities courses available and the future career options available.

Event details

A 2020 British Academy report stated:  “Graduates who study arts, humanities and social science disciplines are highly employable across a range of sectors and roles. They have skills employers value – communication, collaboration, research and analysis, independence, creativity and adaptability – and are able to build flexible careers which may move across a number of areas of employment while remaining resilient to economic downturns. They are employed in sectors which underpin the UK economy and are among the fastest growing – financial, legal and professional services, information and communication, and the creative industries – as well as in socially valuable roles in public administration and education”.

So a Humanities degree provides not only an insight into a fascinating area of study, but also a route into a lucrative future career and the flexibility to move across professional boundaries throughout your lifetime.

Listen to Professor Henry Power introduce different disciplines within the Humanities, explain the skills gained within these and exciting future career outcomes on graduation. Professor Power will also explain opportunities to combine different Humanities disciplines through combined honours degrees and will introduce several interdisciplinary degree options. There will be a Q+A session at the end.
