Workshop on Multilingualism

Event details

We would like to invite UoE researchers who work in the area of multilingualism in society and/or education to join us in a workshop on Multilingualism. This event will be on campus and virtual. It would be great to see many of you in person where possible. You will need to book for this event, see below.

This meeting is organised as a collaboration between the Department of Languages, Cultures & Visual Studies and the Department of Education.

The main purpose of this event is to get together hear about everyone’s research interests, but most importantly to have an opportunity to get to know one another in an informal environment.

If you can’t join us in this workshop, you may be able to join us in a future one. The idea is to follow this with regular meetings once a term, so we would also love to hear about your ideas for future workshops.

Our flagship workshop will take place on Tuesday 7th March between 2.30 and 4.30pm on Streatham campus, room/link to be confirmed. A visiting colleague from Université Jean Monnet (Saint-Étienne, France), Valeria Villa-Perez, will also kindly join us: https://eclla.univ-st-etienne.fr/fr/presentation/membres/titulaires/villa-perez-valeria.html

We would like to ask you to confirm your attendance by replying to either myself,  Francesca or Susana, along with one PPT slide to informally introduce your research interests (feel free to use photos or key words that summarise your research). The slide will support a 2-3 min introduction to yourself, we will then have ample space for further informal discussion.

Please do feel free to come along only for part of the workshop if you are unable to attend the entire event.

We are looking forward to meeting you!
