Event details
Information
The University boasts an impressive range of research centres, institutes and alliances across all of its campuses and disciplines within the sustainability area. In order to provide a forum to help connect across these groups and to encourage cross-campus networking and collaboration we have set up a new monthly internal sustainability seminar series.
Programme
Starting on Wednesday 30 April (incorporated within the Speed Updating: Sustainability session) then taking place on the last Tuesday of each month, sessions will last for an hour between 2-3pm.
There will be an internal speaker presenting from both Streatham and Penryn campuses, followed by the opportunity for networking over refreshments. Initially speakers will be made up from the many new high quality appointments we have made at the University in the sustainability area across all disciplines over the last few years. We very much want to encourage the participation of staff from all our campuses, and have planned for bidirectional video-conferencing to allow this.
Speakers
Dr Phillip Staddon: Climate warming will not decrease winter mortality.
For more information and the full paper please visit Phillip's research gate page.
Dr Krithika Srinivasan: The sustainability episteme and conservation biopolitics
