Speaker: Dr Iain Lang, Janice Ranson and Dr Elzbieta Kuzma

Dr Iain Lang will give an overview of the complex relationship between alcohol consumption and dementia, including his ongoing research on binge and problem drinking.
Janice Ranson will then review brief cognitive assessments widely used in primary care and present her initial results exploring how diagnostic accuracy can be improved.
Dr Elzbieta Kuzma will then discuss how systems medicine may offer an alternative paradigm more suited to the conceptualisation of dementia as a complex multi-causal syndrome.
