Event details
As part of Penryn's ten-year anniversary celebrations happening throughout the year, the Department of Geography is hosting an event about the relationship between people and the environments in which they live. This offers alumni the chance to reconnect with the campus and the University as well as meet other alumni, staff and students.
The Place Symposium will feature talks, poetry and art from contributors who think about Place from scientific, artistic and geographical perspectives.
The event will also host two keynote speakers. Urban explorer and photographer Bradley Garrett will discuss how urban environments are a great source of potential for adventure and exploration, and Kurt Jackson, landscape artist, will be introducing his new exhibition about Place, which draws inspiration from 32 different writers and philosophers.
