What is the event about?
The annual PML - UoE Science Day will take place on Thursday 30 April at the University's Penryn Campus. This is the second event of its kind since the signing of a new MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between UoE and PML in July 2013 (see Press Release).
The new MoU reconfirmed our commitment to work together more strategically to grow our respective research activities and leverage research funding. This commitment also led to the establishment of a Collaboration Fund, which has run for the last 2 years.
Event aims
The Science Day will start with an introduction and overview of the PML-UoE partnership, and will also include the opportunity for the PIs of some of the current PML-UoE collaboration fund awardees to introduce their projects.
In addition, there will be opportunities for attendees to present their work and pitch collaborative ideas, as well as breakout groups to explore collaborations along particular science topics. We thus invite staff from PML and UoE to submit an expression of interest to make a short presentation on their research, and provide suggestions for breakout theme sessions.
