Workshop aims:
The Science, Technology and Culture (STAC) research theme and Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Exeter will host a short symposium over two days with the following aims:
1. To develop cross-disciplinary understanding of the scientific and social challenges of antimicrobial resistance.
2. To foster research networks and teams with a view, in particular, to the third and fourth themes of the Antimicrobial Resistance Funders’ Forum (AMRFF) AMR Initiative, namely:
•Theme 3: Understanding the real world interactions.
•Theme 4: Behaviour within and beyond the healthcare setting.
3. To generate better understanding of the roles that social as well as bio-science can play within AMR debates, with a focus on inputs from Science and Technology Studies, Animal Studies and Social Veterinary Studies
Who should attend?
Academics interested in antimicrobial resistance are invited to attend.
