Event details
Led by heritage consultant Diana Walters, this workshop is designed for anyone who might be interested in working collaboratively with organisations within the heritage sector or those already experienced in this area, through sharing best practice.
Topics to be covered include:
- Thinking about what constitutes the heritage sector
- The heritage process – contemporary relevance and main research trends
- Building meaningful partnerships with the sector
- Evaluation and impact
A case study from Dr Nicola Thomas (Geography) will share her story of working with the heritage sector.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will:
- Have an understanding of the context of the heritage sector
- Have a greater understanding of the opportunities or working with the heritage sector, and the advantages and complexities of doing so
- Have had the opportunity to reflect on potential ideas for collaboration and the practical understanding of how to collaborate
- Begin to understand the importance and benefit or evaluating this type of collaborative work
Tea and coffee will be provided however you are encouraged to bring your own lunch.
