Free screening of award winning documentary Up In Smoke
The Sustainability team in conjunction with Bee Society (Tremough) are showing the directors cut of the award winning documentary Up In Smoke. The film follows one scientists mission to find a solution to the destructive slash and burn agriculture which threatens the rainforests. His solution could save more carbon emissions annually than all the global aviation combined but is the world ready to listen? Screenings - Wednesday 1 February, 18:00 in Queens Building LT2 (Exeter) and Friday 3 February, 16:30pm in Daphne Du Maurier LTA (Tremough).There will also be a seminar and open question and answer session with Mike Hands, the scientist behind Up In Smoke. The seminar is free and open to all. This is a great opportunity to explore and discuss pioneering techniques aimed at providing a sustainable future for those living in and around the rainforests. The seminar takes place from 18:00 to 20:00 on Tuesday 7 February, Queens Building LT2 (Exeter) and Daphne Du Maurier LTA (Tremough).
