Who should attend?
Anyone is welcome to attend this open event which forms part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Being Human festival.
What is the event about?
As REACT nears the end of its four year AHRC-funded first phase, 'The REACTion Chamber' offers an insight into some of the outcomes, artefacts, documentation and people emerging from academic research at the University of Exeter. There will be short presentations, discussions and an opportunity to hear about some of the ideas about REACT legacy, including an opportunity to visit the new Kaleider studio in nearby Smythen Street.
'The REACTion Chamber' is produced by the University of Exeter's REACT team, in association with Kaleider.
REACT has been funding collaborations between arts and humanities researchers and creative companies since 2012. These collaborations champion knowledge exchange, cultural experimentation and the development of innovative digital technologies in the creative economy. It is one of four Knowledge Exchange Hubs for the Creative Economy funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to develop strategic partnerships with creative businesses and cultural organisations, to strengthen and diversify their collaborative research activities and increase the number of arts and humanities researchers actively engaged in research-based knowledge exchange. REACT is a collaboration between the University of the West of England, Watershed, and the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.
