How to apply for EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT)

Event details

Who should attend?

Academics with an interest in putting forward a proposal for an EPSRC CDT either as a lead or a partner are encouraged to join this workshop session.

What is the event about?

To support colleagues in proposing an Expression of Interest for EPSRC CDTs, this workshop offers insight into the University of Exeter’s CDT bidding process, feedback on the proposed training programmes, and advice on developing the partnership aspects of your proposal.

Supported by the EPSRC Strategy Group with participation from other expert researchers and specialists in the area across Research Services, Innovation Impact and Business and the Doctoral College, this session will be an opportunity to:

  • Gain information about the application process.
  • Hear feedback and best practice learnt from the 2013 call.
  • Understand how to approach and work with external partners.
  • Learn how to formulate postgraduate cohort training in partnership with industry and other HEIs.
  • Find out about, and begin to make use of the support available for your application.
  • Have the opportunity to receive peer feedback on proposed training centres.

To express your interest for an EPSRC CDT, please download and complete a copy of the EPSRC CDT EOI Form.

We hope this will give us all an understanding of the ideas for centres at Exeter, a chance to receive feedback from your peers, and for us to see synergies and overlaps. Please contact g.a.buchanan@exeter.ac.uk if you would like to pitch.
