GW4 NanoMedicine Workshop

Investigating the key challenges and future directions of nanomedicine

Nanomedicine has the potential to revolutionise healthcare by designing smart nanomaterials to combat many diseases. But this potential is hampered by seemingly intractable problems, such as the body’s own immune response removing injected nanoparticles. This one-day workshop will bring together a consortium of multidisciplinary researchers to evaluate the current state-of-theart and develop a framework that seeks to address these challenges.

Event details

  • Relevant to anyone interested in nanomedicine at all career levels.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration is a key part of this event, which will include biologists, material scientists, chemists, physicists, mathematicians and clinicians.
  • All participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a one-minute flash presentation and poster.
  • Keynote talks from leading nanomedicine experts including Helen Townley (University of Oxford).
  • The event is entirely FREE, including a three course meal and overnight accommodation with breakfast.
