Scientific Evidence of the Effectiveness of Surfing on Wellbeing
The event will provide a great opportunity for D&C Police to engage with academics in a public debate on issues affecting wellbeing, particularly the use of surfing in enhancing employees’ wellbeing, attitudes towards work, and lives. It will help enhance Police officer’s understanding of the different constraints which could affect their employees’ participation in the intervention and provide suggestions for best implementation practices. The networking lunch will provide an opportunity for both the police and academics to exchange knowledge and opportunities for future collaboration.
The event will include a presentation of best practice longitudinal case study of surfing as a recreation adventure for enhancing wellbeing, followed by Open Discussion Session, before Networking Lunch.
