This day will be a relfection upon the interwoven nature of mindfulness and the qualities of kindness, compassion, joyfulness and equanimity. Rather than seeing these as seperate pathways of development will explore the ways that these are an integral part of the mindfulness landscape and the effectiveness of mindfulness. The teaching will draw on the early teachings of mindfulness and these qualities and their applications in contemporary mindfulness.
Christina Feldman is a co-founder of Gaia House and a guiding teacher at Insight Meditation Society, Barre, Massachusetts. The author of a number of books, she has been teaching insight meditation reatreats internationally since 1976. She is one of the teaching faculty of the CPP Programme, dedicated to the study and application of the early teachings of the Buddha and is engaged in teaching the Buddhist psychological foundations of mindfulness to thos training to teach mindfulness-based applications in England, Belgium and the Netherlands. Christina teaches on the Postgraduate Mindfulness Based-Cognitive Therapies and Approaches programme at the University of Exeter.
