About Streatham Campus
This is an exciting time to be at the University of Exeter. We are looking to the future following a £275 million investment in facilities on the Streatham Campus. This includes a £130 million investment in new on-campus student residences, the Forum, a £48 million student-facing redevelopment of the heart of the campus, a £25 million investment in the Business School and £25 million for new facilities for Biosciences.
The majority of students are based at the Streatham Campus, which is the largest site in Exeter. The campus is one of the most beautiful in the country and offers a unique environment in which to study with lakes, parkland, woodland and gardens to enjoy throughout the year. The campus has seen huge investment over the past couple of years, the centrepiece of which is the Forum, offering a new Student Services Centre, a refurbished library, new technology-rich learning spaces, a 400-seat lecture theatre, a new University reception and retail and catering outlets.
The city centre is only a 15-minute walk away so you can enjoy the advantages of a campus-based university without missing out on life in the city.
The catered halls of residence and most of our purpose-built self-catered flats are either on campus or nearby in the city centre, so you’ll have easy access to everything you’ll need without having to do lots of travelling around the city.
There are excellent facilities for sport with the Sports Park forming the focus of the sports facilities. The superb facilities also include a 90-station fitness studio, badminton courts, a sports hall, exercise studios, squash courts and both indoor and outdoor tennis courts, the Sir Christopher Ondaatje Devon Cricket Centre with four indoor nets, bowling machines and indoor game space. In addition there is an outdoor water based hockey pitch, a sand based astro pitch, a Rubber Crumb astro pitch, a 1/4 sized sand based all weather pitch (5-a-side soccer size) and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
