Self-funded research project opportunities

The global challenges of the 21st century require research which spans traditional subject boundaries.

Nearly all our research is rated of international quality* and we are the fastest growing research university in the UK**.

We are helping to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come and have a direct impact on changing attitudes, government policy and everyone’s understanding of the world.

Exceptional research requires outstanding people. We’re looking for the next generation of PhD researchers to join our international research community, to help answer the questions of tomorrow, today.

Please click on the broad subject groupings below to find out if we have specific MbyRes and PhD projects available in your area of interest now.
