Pre-Masters programme for international students
The Graduate Diploma in Management run by the INTO University of Exeter Centre is a pre-Masters programme designed to enhance your subject knowledge, study skills and English ability. Successful completion of the Diploma (subject to achieving the specific grades of entry) gives students from overseas the skills needed for acceptance onto this Masters programme.
This programme is available for study 12 months full-time over three terms and is University-based throughout this time. The taught components of the programme are delivered in the first two terms, leaving the third term and most of the summer to research, write and submit your dissertation. The programme in its entirety runs from September to September.

I love that we frequently have guest speakers who are industry leaders who we can network with - this is unique and something I have never experienced before. I also love that we have the chance to take part in study visits as we are in a fantastic location with several tourist spots within and surrounding Exeter, such as the Eden Project and Dartmoor National Park.
MSc International Tourism Management

An MSc in International Tourism Management will enable you to develop the tourism, management and professional skills and subject expertise that will make you a valuable asset from day one of your career.
An MSc in International Tourism Management, with its emphasis on data analysis, strategy and sustainable and global thinking, prepares you to be a leader in international tourism and to develop a career in a variety of roles, including:
- Hotel manager
- Tourism officer
- Tourism consultant
- Marketing executive
- Property analyst
Potential employers include international hotel chains such as Hilton, Holiday Inn, Radisson; smaller boutique hotels and eco-resorts; tourism authorities; government advisory boards; Destination Management Organisations (DMOs); National Parks and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). Increasingly, most employers in this area expect post holders to become involved with economic development, strategic planning and regeneration issues. The private sector, which includes private heritage sites, visitor attractions and leisure and conference companies, also provides a wide range of employment opportunities.
By careful selection of your optional modules such as International HR management, Marketing Strategy, Event Management, Entrepreneurship or Managing in a Multinational Context, you will be able to further develop a specialization to enhance your employability in your chosen career.
