The roots of the Graduate School of Education predate those of the University itself, and as such we have over 177 years of experience in Education. We are a leading centre for the study of Education, offering a wide range of PGCE and Education-based postgraduate courses. Our educational research advances policy, theory and practice and contributes to the broader vision of Education, both nationally and internationally. We have highly respected, internationally recognised programmes in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Our TESOL programmes attract a large number of students from different countries, from all types of institutions and all age groups.
