Research
The Centre for Research in Transdisciplinary Education unites researchers exploring pedagogical innovation within and across disciplines. Our expertise connects through five dynamic networks: STEM Education, Creativity and Emergent Educational Futures (CEEN), Environmental Justice Education, Religion and Spirituality Education, and Transdisciplinary Higher Education Pedagogy.
The Centre's strength lies in bridging disciplinary perspectives while maintaining pedagogical focus. Our projects include research into mathematical reasoning, STEAM Education policy and practice, creative arts education, childhood wellbeing, environmental education, religious worldview formation, and inclusive teaching practices. This work employs diverse methodologies from arts-based and post-qualitative approaches, to exploratory quantitative methods as well as more traditional research methods as our project require. Our work is strongly theoretically grounded.
By collaborating with community and industry partners, our research remains theoretically robust while directly impacting educational practice. We create spaces where innovative pedagogical approaches can flourish across traditional subject boundaries to address contemporary educational challenges.
