Goose hunt takes researchers on Asian adventure

The migratory journeys of geese have taken Dr Lucy Hawkes all the way to Asia.

Dr Hawkes is an evolutionary ecologist at the University of Exeter. Her research focuses on the migratory patterns of vertebrates, and the drivers behind these patterns.

In the below interview, she discusses her research into the movements of bar-headed geese and where the work has taken her.

Dr Hawkes was speaking to MSc Bioscience students at the University's Centre for Ecology and Conservation. The interview was for the Natural Selection podcast, which is run by the students. The podcast features regular interviews on the latest world-leading research conducted at the Centre.
