LEEPin2019: The LEEP Institute's Meeting of International Excellence in Environmental and Resource Economics

The first conference held by the LEEP Institute (LEEPin2019) has received resounding praise from attendees.

The conference, held on Monday 24thand Tuesday 25thJune, hosted some of the biggest names in environmental economics including, Stephen Polasky; Catherine Kling; Paul Ferraro; Georgina Mace; Graham Loomes; Roger von Haefen; Richard Carson, as well as outstanding talks from Early Career Researchers and our very own LEEP Team.

Feedback from attendees has been resoundingly positive:

“Great conference! Please do run it again.”

“The number and excellency of plenary talks was a very big plus.”

“Great work from an excellent team. Thanks for making this a reality.”

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those that attended, as well as the wonderful speakers, many of whom covered their own travel expenses so as we could ensure that there was no conference fee.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors, The Royal Economic Society, University of Exeter Business School and Professor Janice Kay CBE (Provost, University of Exeter); because of their generous support, we were able to ensure that there was no conference fee and provide the conference dinner and accommodation free of charge.

Thank you also to our supporters; EAERE (European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists).

A big thank you to the entire LEEP Team; without your hard work and dedication this conference would not have been possible:
